(1) If a returning officer or the election official in charge of a polling place is unable to provide an elector with a ballot paper printed in accordance with section 96 , he or she is to prepare a ballot paper which as far as practicable duplicates the required ballot paper.(2) Returning officers and election officials in charge of polling places are to keep a record in an approved manner of the number of ballot papers prepared in accordance with subsection (1) .(3) A ballot paper prepared under subsection (1) is to be taken to be a ballot paper for the purposes of this Act if it is authenticated by the initials of the election official.
