(1) The Director may, by notice in writing served on a person, require that person to provide the Director, within the period specified in the notice, with such information as the Director reasonably considers necessary in the interests of the environment.(2) A person who is aggrieved by a requirement under subsection (1) may appeal to the Appeal Tribunal.(3) If a person served with a notice under this section contravenes a provision of the notice, that person is guilty of an offence.Penalty: In the case of (a) a body corporate, a fine not exceeding 250 penalty units; and(b) a natural person, a fine not exceeding 100 penalty units.
