(1) The Minister, on the Heritage Council's recommendation, may by order declare that a law does not apply, or applies subject to modification, to a place which is the subject of a heritage agreement if (a) the law regulates or prohibits the conservation of the place; and(b) the Minister considers it is necessary to make the order to ensure the conservation of the place.(2) An order in respect of a place (a) is to be published in the Gazette ; and(b) takes effect on the date of its publication in the Gazette ; and(c) remains in force for the duration of the heritage agreement relating to the place.(3) An order in respect of a place is not a statutory rule.
