(1) The Minister administering the State Service Act 2000 is to appoint a State Service officer or State Service employee to be Registrar of the Commission and that officer or employee is to hold that office in conjunction with State Service employment.(1A) Subject to and in accordance with the State Service Act 2000 , there may be appointed persons for the purposes of assisting the Commission in the carrying out of its powers and functions under this Act.(2) Subject to this Act, the Registrar is responsible to the President for the organization of the work of persons appointed under subsection (1A) .(3) . . . . . . . .(4) Subject to the directions of the President, the Registrar (a) has and may exercise such powers as are conferred, and shall perform such functions as are imposed, on him by this Act;(b) shall cause to be kept such records of the proceedings of the Commission as are prescribed in the regulations; and(c) has and may exercise such powers, and shall perform such other functions, as are prescribed in the regulations.
