(1) Subject to this section, a person is entitled to be registered as a veterinary specialist under this Part if (a) the person is registered under this Part as a veterinary surgeon; and(b) the person satisfies the Board that he or she possesses adequate qualifications and experience with respect to the approved speciality to which the registration is to relate.(2) For the purposes of determining whether a person possesses adequate qualifications and experience with respect to an approved speciality, the Board may, amongst other matters, take into account (a) the opinion of the Australasian Veterinary Board Council as to whether particular qualifications and experience are adequate; and(b) whether the person is registered as a veterinary specialist under a corresponding law.
