MAGISTRATES COURT (CIVIL DIVISION) RULES 1998 - REG 54
Interpleader
A person may apply to the Court for directions as to parties to be served and
procedure to be followed if the person
(a) is being sued, is about to be sued or may be sued by 2 or more persons
making competing claims in respect of
(i) personal property in the person's possession or under the person's
control; or
(ii) proceeds from a disposition of that property; and
(b) is uncertain as to whom the property or proceeds belong; and
(c) expressly disclaims any personal interest in, or claim to, any part of the
property or proceeds in dispute.
