(1) A request and undertaking filed under rule 148(2)(b)(ii) is to contain (a) a request by the applicant that a sealed copy of the document to be served be transmitted to the country concerned for service on a specified person; and(b) if the applicant requires service under a Convention, a reference to that Convention; and(c) an undertaking by the practitioner for the applicant or, if there is no practitioner, by the applicant, to pay to the Principal Registrar an amount equal to the expenses incurred because of the request for service.(2) The Principal Registrar may require the applicant or the practitioner for the applicant to give security to the satisfaction of the Principal Registrar for the expenses referred to in subrule (1)(c) .
