(1) If a person lodges a notice of appearance at a registry other than that in which the proceeding is pending, the registrar of that other registry, before accepting it, is to (a) communicate with the registry in which the proceeding is pending to ensure that it may be filed; and(b) if it may be, inform the registry of the time, date and place of its lodgment.(2) The registry in which the proceeding is pending is to note the information in the register of proceedings and the relevant file.(3) A notice of appearance, if accepted, is taken to be filed when lodged, but it is to be transferred to the other registry and filed there, subject to rule 158 .
