(1) The Court or a judge may order at any time the delivery of (a) a further and better statement of the nature of the claim or defence; or(b) further and better particulars of any matter stated in any pleading.(2) A party is to apply for particulars by letter before seeking an order for them.(3) The Court or a judge is not to make an order for the delivery of particulars of a claim or of any matter alleged in a statement of claim or counterclaim before the delivery of a defence to that claim or counterclaim unless the Court or judge considers it necessary or desirable.(4) The party at whose instance an order is made under subrule (1) has the same period for pleading after the delivery of the particulars as that party had at the time the application by letter was made.
