(1) A general biosecurity direction may be given by causing a notice of the direction to be published on, or in, either or both of the following:(a) the Department website;(b) the Gazette .(2) In an emergency, a general biosecurity direction may be given by displaying a copy of the direction in a prominent place on or adjacent to any premises or place to which, or in the vicinity of which, the direction applies.(3) If a general biosecurity direction is given in the manner referred to in subsection (2) , notice of the direction is to be published on the Department website or in the Gazette (or both) as soon as practicable after the decision is made.(4) If a general biosecurity direction is given in an emergency, the direction is to include a warning that the direction is being given in an emergency.(5) A failure to comply with this section does not affect the validity of a general biosecurity direction.
