(1)  The Board is responsible to the Minister for –

(a) the performance of the functions of the Academy; and

(b) the achievement by the Academy of the objectives specified in its corporate plan; and

(c) ensuring that the business and affairs of the Academy are managed and conducted –

(i) in accordance with sound business practice; and

(ii) in a manner that is consistent with any directions given by the Minister under section 20 .

(2)  The Board has power to do anything necessary or convenient in relation to its responsibilities under this Act.
