(1) In an emergency, an authorised officer may take any action the authorised officer considers necessary to protect life or property.(2) Without limiting the generality of subsection (1) , an authorised officer may take any one or more of the following actions under that subsection:(a) enter land or premises;(b) disconnect a source of electricity;(c) carry out work on electrical infrastructure or an electrical installation;(d) give directions to the person in charge of electrical infrastructure or an electrical installation that may be necessary to make it safe;(e) give other directions the authorised officer considers necessary to avert danger to life or property.(3) A person to whom a direction is given under this section must comply with the direction.Penalty: Fine not exceeding 100 penalty units.
