FOOD ACT 2003 (NO. 8 OF 2003) - SECT 102
Certificates of authority
(1) The Director of Public Health is to provide each authorised officer
appointed under section 101(1) with a certificate of authority as an
authorised officer.
(2) A council is to provide an authorised officer appointed under
section 101(2) with a certificate of authority as an authorised officer.
(3) The powers of an authorised officer may be limited by the authorised
officer's certificate of authority.
(4) An authorised officer is required to produce the certificate of
authority (a) if requested to do so by the proprietor of a
food business whose premises are entered by the authorised officer; or
(b) if
requested to do so by a person whom the authorised officer requires to produce
any thing or to answer any question.
