(1)  The production of a certificate signed by the Sheriff that a questionnaire or a summons was posted or otherwise dispatched to a person is proof, in the absence of evidence to the contrary, that the questionnaire or summons was served at the address of the person named in the questionnaire or summons.

(2)  If a questionnaire or summons is served by post, the certificate referred to in subsection (1) or other evidence of service is to –

(a) identify the questionnaire or summons served; and

(b) state the date and place of posting.
