(1)  A right of the Commission to take water under the Water Act 1957  –

(a) continues in force on the same terms and conditions notwithstanding the repeal of that Act; and

(b) is taken to be conferred by a licence granted under the Water Management Act 1999 in respect of the relevant water resource, within the meaning of that Act.

(2)  A water district formerly administered by the Commission continues to be administered by the Commission subject to the Water Management Act 1999 as if the Commission were appointed as the water entity responsible for the administration of that district.
