(1) A police officer or steward who reasonably believes that a person has committed, is committing or is about to commit an offence against this Act may require the person to state his or her name and address.(2) A person who is required to state his or her name and address under subsection (1) must not (a) refuse or fail to comply with the requirement; or(b) state a false name or address.Penalty: Fine not exceeding 25 penalty units.(3) A police officer who requires a person to state his or her name and address under subsection (1) may arrest the person without warrant if (a) the person refuses or fails to comply with the requirement; or(b) the police officer reasonably believes that the name or address stated by the person is false.
