A person who has ceased to be a rail safety officer must not, without reasonable excuse, refuse, or fail, to return to the Rail Safety Regulator, within the period specified by the Rail Safety Regulator in a request for return of the card, an identification card issued to the person by the Rail Safety Regulator.

Penalty:  Fine not exceeding 5 penalty units.
