(1) Subject to this regulation, when transporting buffalo of a class listed in column 1 of the table set out in this subregulation (a) the journey time for that class of buffalo must not exceed the period of time specified in respect of that class of buffalo in column 2 of the table; and(b) the maximum time off water for that class of buffalo is the period of time specified in respect of that class of buffalo in column 3 of the table; and(c) the minimum spell duration for that class of buffalo is the period of time specified in respect of that class of buffalo in column 4 of the table.

(2) If a buffalo suffers heat stress during a journey, the person who has care or charge of the buffalo must, in addition to any other appropriate action, apply a water spray to cool the buffalo, as soon as reasonably practicable.Penalty: In the case of (a) a body corporate, a fine not exceeding 100 penalty units; and(b) an individual, a fine not exceeding 50 penalty units.
