CLIMATE CHANGE (GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS) REGULATIONS 2012 (S.R. 2012, NO. 99) - REG 4

Baseline

(1)  The method for measuring the greenhouse gas emissions for the purposes of setting relevant 1990 levels (the baseline ) is adding the total carbon dioxide equivalent emission figures for Tasmania for the financial year ending on 30 June 1990 for each of the following sectors as set out in the most recently published Greenhouse Gas Inventory:
(a) energy;
(b) industrial processes;
(c) agriculture;
(d) waste;
(e) land use, land use change and forestry;
(f) any other sector set out in the Greenhouse Gas Inventory.
(2)  At any particular time, the figure that represents the baseline is the figure set out in the most recently published Greenhouse Gas Inventory as the total of the carbon dioxide equivalent emission figures for Tasmania for the financial year ending on 30 June 1990 for each of the sectors referred to in subregulation (1) , as set out in that Inventory.
