CRIMINAL (CASE MANAGEMENT) AMENDMENT RULES (NO. 2) 2002 (S.R. 2002, NO. 131) - REG 4

Rule 12A inserted

Before rule 13 of the Principal Rules , the following rule is inserted in Part 4:

12A.     Order that status conference be held

(1)  A Crown counsel or the accused person may apply to a judge for an order that a status conference be held.
(2)  After hearing the application, the judge may order that a status conference be held –
(a) on a day and at a time specified in the order; and
(b) before a specified judge.
(3)  A judge may order that a status conference be held without an application being made.

These Rules of Court amend the Criminal (Case Management) Rules 2001 by permitting the parties to apply for, or the judge to order, a status conference to be held.
