DANGEROUS GOODS (GENERAL) REGULATIONS 1998 (S.R. 1998, NO. 163) - REG 82

Notice of incidents
(1)  The occupier of a depot or place at which an incident occurs must, as soon as practicable after that occurrence, give the Competent Authority or an authorised officer notice of the incident and notice of any resulting loss of life or personal injury.
Penalty:  Fine not exceeding 5 penalty units.
(2)  The master of a vessel on or in connection with which an incident occurs must, as soon as practicable after that occurrence, give the Competent Authority or an authorised officer notice of the incident and notice of any resulting loss of life or personal injury.
Penalty:  Fine not exceeding 5 penalty units.
(3)  If a person who is an employee of a company within the meaning of the Port Companies Act 1997 or the Marine Authority receives notice of an incident, he or she must, as soon as practicable, give a copy of the notice to the Competent Authority.
Penalty:  Fine not exceeding 5 penalty units.
