(1)  If proceedings for an offence under regulation 22 or 23 have commenced in relation to a student who has qualified for an award from the Polytechnic, the issuing of the award may be deferred until after the proceedings are completed.

(2)  The Secretary –

(a) may determine other circumstances in which the issuing of an award to a student who has qualified for it from the Polytechnic is to be deferred; and

(b) is to make such a determination available to students in such manner as the Secretary considers appropriate.
