EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the regulation)
These regulations –(a) provide that certain heating appliances that burn solid fuel and are sold in, manufactured in or imported into Tasmania for sale must comply with certain Australian and New Zealand Standards; and(b) regulate the emission of smoke from, and the burning of solid fuels in, heating appliances, fireplaces, barbeques and certain other appliances that burn solid fuel; and(c) prescribe the kinds of wastes and fuels that may be burnt in the open or in incinerators on certain land; and(d) prescribe certain offences as offences for which an environmental infringement notice may be issued and served.
