(1) This regulation applies if a person directs anyone to (a) provide training in shot-firing of any category; or(b) receive training in shot-firing of any category.(2) If subregulation (1)(a) applies, the person giving the direction must ensure that (a) the training is provided through an accredited shot-firing course of the relevant category; and(b) when the training is provided (i) the recipient of the direction is an accredited shot-firing instructor of the relevant category; and(ii) the trainee has the necessary approval under regulation 69 .Penalty: Fine not exceeding (a) for a body corporate, 50 penalty units; or(b) for an individual, 30 penalty units.(3) If subregulation (1)(b) applies, the person giving the direction must ensure that the recipient of the direction (a) receives the training through an accredited shot-firing course of the relevant category, from a trainer who is an accredited shot-firing instructor of the relevant category; and(b) has, when the training is actually received, the necessary approval under regulation 69 .Penalty: Fine not exceeding (a) for a body corporate, 50 penalty units; or(b) for an individual, 30 penalty units.
