FISHERIES (SCALEFISH) RULES 2004 (S.R. 2004, NO. 91) - REG 69

Possession limits
(1)  A person must not take, or have possession of, more of a species or type of scalefish than the possession limit specified in Schedule 4 for that species or type of scalefish unless the person –
(a) is the holder of a fishing licence (vessel) or a fishing licence (personal); or
(b) has a Commonwealth authority that authorises the possession of more of that species of scalefish than the limit specified in Schedule 4 ; or
(c) has proof that the fish were purchased.
Penalty:  Fine not exceeding the applicable Grade 2 penalty.
(2)  For the purposes of subrule (1)  –
(a) 2 fillets of fish are equivalent to one fish; and
(b) possession includes fish kept at the principal residence of a person.
