Schedule III to the Principal Rules is amended as follows:

(a) by omitting item 6A;

(b) by omitting item 16A and substituting the following item:

16A.    Vehicle and Traffic Act 1999 , except sections 9 , 13 , 14 , 15 , 18 , 31 and 64 , and any regulations made under it.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the rule)

These rules amend the list of offences in Schedule III to the Justices Rules 1976 so as to provide that a person who is charged with an offence under the Vehicle and Traffic Act 1999 may, except in certain serious cases, enter a written plea to the charge.
