EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the regulation)

These regulations, made under the Local Government Act 1993 , make provision in relation to –

(a) electoral advertising and elections by councillors of mayors and deputy mayors; and

(b) the hearing and determination of election disputes and certain procedures related to determining elections; and

(c) codes of conduct for councillors and procedures relating to the hearing by a Code of Conduct Panel and a Standards Panel of complaints and appeals; and

(d) tendering and contracting; and

(e) allowances and expenses of councillors; and

(f) other miscellaneous matters under the Act.
