After regulation 85 of the Principal Regulations , the following regulation is inserted in Division 3:85A. False or misleading statements
A person must not, in giving any information in relation to an application for a determination, a request for a review or an appeal under these regulations (a) make a statement knowing it to be false or misleading; or(b) omit any matter from a statement knowing that without that matter the statement is misleading.Penalty: Fine not exceeding 20 penalty units.

These regulations amend the Marine and Safety (Pilotage and Navigation) Regulations 1997 in relation to unseaworthy vessels.
