Regulation 8(1) of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting paragraph (e) and substituting the following paragraph:

(e) drive or cause or permit to be driven a vehicle that has in or on it a device, whether or not the device is operating or in working order, for –

(i) preventing the effective use of a speed measuring device within the meaning of the Traffic (Miscellaneous) Regulations 1968 ; or

(ii) detecting the use of a speed measuring device within the meaning of those regulations.
