Part 1 of Schedule 4 to the Principal Regulations is amended by inserting the following item after the item relating to Road sign No. 19:

Road Sign No. 19A

White rectangle with black band and legend or Rectangle with illuminated legend

Displayed and numbered in accordance with the Rules Publication Act 1953 .

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the regulation)

These regulations –

(a) introduce a road sign for use in conjunction with a new system for the automatic weighing of trucks; and

(b) provide that the directions on that sign, and on other road signs, may be in electronic form.
