(1) A person must not use, or cause or permit the use of, a vehicle if the load on a tyre exceeds the maximum load capacity determined for the tyre by its manufacturer.Penalty: In the case of (a) a first offence 20 penalty units; and(b) a second or subsequent offence 40 penalty units.(2) The load capacity for a tyre is to be determined at a cold inflation pressure that does not exceed (a) 825 kilopascals in the case of a radial tyre; or(b) 700 kilopascals in any other case.
