Health Services Amendment (Health
Purchasing Victoria) Bill 2012
A Bill for an Act to amend the Health Services Act 1988 to expand
the range of health or related services in relation to which Health
Purchasing Victoria performs functions and exercises powers to
include registered community health centres and women's health
services and for other purposes.
The Parliament of Victoria enacts:

The purpose of this Act is to amend the Health
Services Act 1988 to expand the range of health
or related services in relation to which Health

2 Commencement
This Act comes into operation on the day after the
day on which it receives the Royal Assent.
3 Definition of health or related service

In section 3(1) of the Health Services Act 1988,
49/1998. in the definition of health or related service, after
Reprint No. 13 paragraph (a) insert--
as at
24 August
2011
"(ab) a registered community health centre; or
and
amending (ac) a women's health service listed in
10 Act Nos Schedule 6; or".

The repeal of this Act does not affect the continuing operation of
the amendments made by it (see section 15(1) of the
15 Interpretation of Legislation Act 1984).
