Public Administration Amendment
Bill 2019
A Bill for an Act to amend the Public Administration Act 2004 to
clarify standards that apply to public sector bodies in relation to
publication of public sector communications and for other purposes.
The Parliament of Victoria enacts:
1 Purpose
The purpose of this Act is to amend the Public
Administration Act 2004 to clarify standards that
apply to public sector bodies for the publication of
5 public sector communications.
2 Commencement
(1) Subject to subsection (2), this Act comes into
operation on a day or days to be proclaimed.
(2) If a provision of this Act does not come into
10 operation before 9 December 2019, it comes into
operation on that day.

3 Public sector communication standards
In section 97C(a) of the Public Administration
Act 2004, for "is not designed or intended to"
substitute "does not".
5 4 Repeal of this Act
This Act is repealed on 9 December 2020.
Note
The repeal of this Act does not affect the continuing operation of
the amendments made by it (see section 15(1) of the
10 Interpretation of Legislation Act 1984).
