A BILL to repeal the Parliament House Completion Authority Act 1996 and for other purposes. Parliament House Completion Authority (Repeal) Act 1997 The Parliament of Victoria enacts as follows: 1. Purpose The purpose of this Act is to repeal the Parliament House Completion Authority Act 1996. 5 1 531123B.I2-3/7/97 BILL LA INTRODUCTION 07/03/97

 


 

Parliament House Completion Authority (Repeal) Act 1997 s. 2 Act No. 2. Commencement (1) Section 1 and this section come into operation on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent. (2) The remaining provisions of this Act come into 5 operation on a day to be proclaimed. 3. Repeal No. 9/1996 The Parliament House Completion Authority Act 1996 is repealed. 4. Abolition of Authority 10 The Parliament House Completion Authority established by section 4 of the Parliament House Completion Authority Act 1996 is abolished. 5. Transfer of assets and liabilities (1) All assets, property (including intellectual 15 property) and rights vested in or held by the Parliament House Completion Authority immediately before the commencement of this section vest, by force of this sub-section, in the State. 20 (2) All liabilities of the Parliament House Completion Authority existing immediately before the commencement of this section become, by force of this sub-section, liabilities of the State. (3) The State is, by force of this sub-section, 25 substituted as a party to any current agreement, contract, lease or other arrangement to which the Parliament House Completion Authority was a party immediately before the commencement of this section. 30 (4) The operation of sub-section (3) does not confer on a party (other than the State) to an agreement, contract, lease or other arrangement any right or 2 531123B.I2-3/7/97 BILL LA INTRODUCTION 07/03/97
