Tobacco Amendment (Shopper Loyalty
Schemes) Bill 2012
A Bill for an Act to amend the Tobacco Act 1987 to limit further the
operation of shopper loyalty schemes in relation to the sale of tobacco
products and for other purposes.
The Parliament of Victoria enacts:
1 Purpose
The purpose of this Act is to amend the Tobacco
Act 1987 to limit further the operation of shopper
loyalty schemes in relation to the sale of tobacco
5 products.
2 Commencement
(1) Subject to subsection (2), this Act comes into
operation on a day to be proclaimed.
(2) If this Act does not come into operation before
10 1 March 2013, it comes into operation on that day.

4 Repeal of amending Act
15 This Act is repealed on 1 March 2014.
Note
The repeal of this Act does not affect the continuing operation of
the amendments made by it (see section 15(1) of the
Interpretation of Legislation Act 1984).
