Victorian Current Acts Victorian Current Acts(1) Except as otherwise provided by this Act or the rules of an incorporated association, a member of the committee, the secretary or a member of the association is not, merely because of being such a member or the secretary, liable to contribute towards the payment of—
(a) the debts and liabilities of the association; or
(b) the costs, charges and expenses of the winding up of the association.
(2) Unless expressly provided by this Act or the rules of an incorporated association, membership of the association must not be taken to confer on a person any right, title or interest (whether legal or equitable) in the property of the association.
