COUNTY COURT ACT 1958 - SECT 49A

Attachment of earnings

S. 49A(1) amended by No. 19/1989 s. 8(q).

    (1)     Subject to and in accordance with the Rules, the court may make orders for the attachment of the salary wages or pension of any person.

S. 49A(2) repealed by No. 19/1989 s. 8(r).

    (3)     Any person who dismisses an employee or injures him in his employment or alters his position to his prejudice by reason of the circumstances that an attachment order has been made in relation to the earnings of that employee or that the employee is required to make payments under such an order may be dealt with in the manner authorized by section 53 for compelling obedience to or punishing disobedience of any judgment or order.
