COUNTRY FIRE AUTHORITY ACT 1958 - SECT 39C

Causing fire in a country area with intent to cause damage etc. an indictable offence

In addition to and without in any way limiting the generality of any of the provisions of this Division any person who on any land in the country area of Victoria (without lawful excuse) does any act causing a fire or for the purpose of causing a fire and with intent to destroy any vegetation, produce, stock, crop, fodder or other property belonging to another shall be guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term of not less than one year and not more than twenty years.
