CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILIES ACT 2005 - SECT 125

Disclosure of information to police and investigator

    (1)     The Secretary may disclose to a police officer and to any person appointed under this Part to conduct the independent investigation—

        (a)     the decision that an investigation is warranted; and

        (b)     the nature of the allegation to be investigated; and

        (c)     any information obtained by the Secretary in relation to the allegation.

    (2)     The Secretary may disclose to the Commission for Children and Young People the matters referred to in subsection (1)(a), (b) and (c) if the allegation to be investigated is a reportable allegation within the meaning of Part 5A of the Child Wellbeing and Safety Act 2005 .
