CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILIES ACT 2005 - SECT 74

Definitions

In this Part—

"allegation" means allegation in a report under section 81 or 82;

S. 74 def. of Commission for Children and Young People inserted by No. 4/2017 s. 13(1).

"Commission for Children and Young People" means the Commission for Children and Young People established by section 6 of the  Commission for Children and Young People Act 2012 ;

"disqualified person" means a person who is disqualified from registration under this Part;

"out of home carer" means—

        (a)     a person who acts as a foster carer for an out of home care service; or

        (b)     a person employed or engaged by an out of home care service

              (i)     as a carer for children; or

              (ii)     as a provider of services to children at an out of home care residence managed by the service;

"registered foster carer" means a person registered as a foster carer under Division 3;

"registered out of home carer" means a person registered as an out of home carer under Division 3;

"services to children" means services provided to children where the provision of the services usually involves or is likely to usually involve working in close proximity to the children but does not include prescribed services.
