(1) Subject to this section, a document required or permitted under this Act to be served on, or given to, a person, may be served or given—
(a) if the person is a natural person—
(i) by delivering it to the person personally; or
(ii) by leaving it at the address of the person's usual or last known place of residence or business with a person apparently over 16 years of age and apparently residing or employed there; or
(iii) by sending it by post to the person's usual or last known place of residence or business; or
(iv) by any prescribed manner; or
(b) if the person is a body corporate—
(i) by leaving it at the address of the person's usual or last known place of business with a person apparently over 16 years of age and apparently employed there; or
(ii) by sending it by post to the person's usual or last known place of business; or
(iii) by any prescribed manner.
(2) A document may be served on or given to the Commission by—
(a) leaving it at or posting it to the principal office of the Commission; or
(b) any prescribed manner.
(3) Nothing in this section affects the operation of any provision of a law or of the rules of a court authorising a document to be served on or given to the Commission in any other manner.
