FISHERIES ACT 1995 - SECT 131G

When can an authority be varied?

S. 131G(1) amended by No. 68/2016 s. 121(1)(a).

    (1)     The chief executive officer may vary an authority

S. 131G(1)(a) amended by No. 68/2016 s. 121(1)(b).

        (a)     at any time on the chief executive officer's own initiative; or

        (b)     on application under section 131H.

S. 131G(2) amended by No. 68/2016 s. 121(2).

    (2)     An authority cannot be varied unless the chief executive officer is satisfied on reasonable grounds that the variation will not authorise a significant alteration of the nature of the authorised operation concerned.
