Victorian Current Acts Victorian Current Acts(1) In the case of an application for a permit to acquire which has been made by a person who does not possess a registered firearm under a licence under this Act, the Chief Commissioner must not issue the permit until 28 days have expired after the making of the application for the permit.
(2) In any other case the Chief Commissioner must not issue the permit until sufficient time has expired to allow the Chief Commissioner to consider the application properly.
