FINES REFORM ACT 2014 - SECT 14

Court fine collection statement

    (1)     As soon as practicable after a court fine is referred to the Director in accordance with section 13, the Director must serve a court fine collection statement on the offender.

    (2)     A court fine collection statement must—

        (a)     be in writing; and

        (b)     specify—

S. 14(2)(b)(i) substituted by No. 17/2022 s. 35.

              (i)     the details of the court fine imposed on the offender; and

S. 14(2)(b)(ii) substituted by No. 17/2022 s. 35.

              (ii)     that failure to pay the court fine as required by the order may result in the fine being registered for enforcement by the Director; and

              (iii)     any prescribed details; and

        (c)     include a summary of the enforcement action available under this Act if the court fine is registered.
