FAMILY VIOLENCE PROTECTION ACT 2008 - SECT 167

Exception to restriction on publication

    (1)     To remove any doubt, it is declared that section 166 does not apply to—

        (a)     a person publishing, or causing the publication of, a report about the proceeding or the order if the publication     does not identify the locality of a court or particulars likely to identify a venue of a court, or particulars of a person; or

        (b)     the publication under section 85 of the Vexatious Proceedings Act 2014 by the Attorney-General of a copy of an order that relates to an application or a proceeding under this Act.

    (2)     Section 166(2) does not prevent a disclosure that is made by an information sharing entity for the purposes of Part 5A.
