Victorian Current Acts Victorian Current ActsIf the proceeds of sale of impounded livestock under section 18 are insufficient to discharge any amount owing to an owner or occupier of land, an authorised officer or an authorised officer of the Department of Transport for the impounding of livestock, that person may recover the outstanding amount from the owner of the livestock as a civil debt recoverable summarily in a court of competent jurisdiction.
