LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 2020 - SECT 181A

Provision of information requested by Municipal Monitor

    (1)     If a Municipal Monitor requests information from a person, the person may comply with the request despite any other enactment that—

        (a)     prohibits the person from providing the information; or

        (b)     imposes a duty of confidentiality on the person with respect to the information.

    (2)     A person who has provided information to a Municipal Monitor on request is not subject to any criminal, civil, administrative or disciplinary proceeding only because the person complied with the request.
