LEGAL PROFESSION UNIFORM LAW APPLICATION ACT 2014 - SECT 168

Barristers' practising certificates

    (1)     This section applies to a practising certificate granted under the old Act to a person who was a barrister (within the meaning of the old Act) that is taken by clause 12 of Schedule 4 to the Legal Profession Uniform Law (Victoria) to be an Australian practising certificate granted under that Law.

    (2)     Despite anything to the contrary in clause 12 of Schedule 4 to the Legal Profession Uniform Law (Victoria), the practising certificate is taken, on and after the commencement day, to be subject to a condition that the holder is authorised to engage in legal practice as or in the manner of a barrister only.
