MAGISTRATES' COURT ACT 1989 - SECT 12

A person ceases to hold office as a magistrate if—

S. 12(a) amended by Nos 9/1995 s. 10(1)(d), 16/2005 s. 8(3)(b).

        (a)     he or she attains the age of 70 years; or

S. 12(b) substituted by No. 16/2005 s. 8(3)(c).

        (b)     he or she is removed from office by the Governor in Council in accordance with Part IIIAA of the Constitution Act 1975 ; or

S. 12(c) inserted by No. 16/2005 s. 8(3)(c).

        (c)     his or her office is abolished by or under an Act.
