MAGISTRATES' COURT ACT 1989 - SECT 9B

    (1)     A reserve magistrate ceases to hold office on the earlier of—

        (a)     the end of 5 years from the date of his or her appointment as a reserve magistrate; or

        (b)     attaining the age of 78 years.

S. 9B(1A) inserted by No. 63/2013 s. 42(2).

    (1A)     A reserve magistrate may resign by sending his or her resignation in writing to the Governor.
